In my opinion the highlight of the Paris Motor show was the McLaren P1. The radical design, the insane figures, this car truly pays homage to the legendary McLaren F1. The McLaren is said to be powered by a 3.8 Liter V8 engine, likely the same engine currently used to power the MP4-12C, coupled to a KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) creating a combined horsepower figure of 963hp! One somewhat disappointing figure in my eyes is that the top speed is a theoretical 239mph, one short of the 20 year old McLaren F1. The P1 is said to start production in early 2013 and will go on sale with a limited 500 units the end of 2013 costing around 700,000 pounds. Watch out Jaguar C-X75, Porsche 918 and Ferrari F70.
